Hi, I’m Chelsea Candelario and I’m a Maxxinista. I’m also a former sales associate who worked for their sister company, Marshalls, and I’ve shopped at both stores religiously throughout the years. Despite not having an employee discount anymore (oh how I miss it!), I still manage to find really good deals on trendy staples to add to my wardrobe. If you want some incentive to head to your local TJ Maxx, here are the 12 best fashion items I’ve spotted, from wide-leg trousers to Bottega-inspired handbags.

If you’re not caught up on the latest trends, let me get you up to speed. Bratcore is in. Inspired by singer Charli XCX’s latest album Brat, the fun aesthetic is all about being edge, bold and confident with a bright color like lime green. This Anne Klein suit checks all the boxes and will definitely make a statement around the office. The blazer has shoulder pads, a notched collar, ruched sleeves and a button front closure. The matching pants have a high rise waist and wide legs. Wear them separately or together—either way you’ll give brat girl energy for sure.

Trousers are essential for work or even a lunch outing with friends (just ask our fave Katie Holmes). This Max Studio London pair is crafted in polyester and spandex so it’s easy to pull on (no button or zipper included). It also has an elastic, high rise waistband, a pleated front and two pockets. But the real star of the show? The wide leg design that you can wear with a pair of sneakers, flats or heels.

Associate Fashion Commerce Editor Stephanie Meraz predicts drop waist dresses are making a major comeback and this Endless Rose floral dress is a prime example. The print features pink, blue and purple florals, along with button accents, balloon sleeves and a V-neckline straight out of a Bridgerton episode. It’s also 50 inches long, making it a great pick for the tall gals and ladies with long torsos out there.

Meraz recently spotted a Bottega look-a-like at Target, but I just found another one at TJ Maxx. Lulla Collection’s version comes in a striking red and it’s currently going viral on TikTok. The accessory is spacious and includes one interior pocket for your wallet. The woven design is iconic, along with the signature knot detail on the handle that makes it look like the real thing.

Cue Challengers. This skort feeds into the tenniscore trend with its comfy yet stylish look. I currently have five tennis-inspired skirts in my closet—and I’m ready to add this 90 Degree pick. It’s made of polyester and spandex, which the brand claims will provide a nice stretch. It also has built-in shorts, a waistband pocket and UPF 50 for ultimate sun protection.

According to Senior Editor Dana Dickey, petites should always have pointed-toe shoes in their closet. Not only are they a great statement piece, but they also give the illusion of longer legs. As a fellow petite myself (coming in at exactly 5’0’’), I recommend these Marc Fisher mules. They have a 3.5 inch heel, lightly cushioned footbed and a glossy black finish.

I’m a sucker for a matching set and this One33 ensemble is right up my alley. The top has a crop design, open back concept with button closures, a round neckline and short, puffy sleeves. The skirt has a tiered ruffle design that runs 45.5 inches long, along with a back zip and button closure. Plus, the colorful zebra print makes it a great outfit for a summer soirée.

Though the thought of wearing a vest transports me back to my middle school days, according to Editorial Assistant Courtney Mason, the throwback staple is gaining popularity once again. This Theory find might have just persuaded me to give vests another try. Its wool and cashmere blend make for a soft, lightweight knit. Other cool features include a V-neckline, ribbed collar and hem—plus, it’s sleeveless so you can wear it alone or with a nice button-down shirt.

Whether you like it or not, capris are back. If you’re game, these Wildfox pants can be your first reintroduction to the style. It’s crafted in cotton with a gauzy texture and ruched waist. The pair also has a straight leg design with two side pockets and easy zip fly closure.

Here’s the shoe that’s all over NYC right now: silver metallic flats. These Mary Janes have a lightly padded footbed, a square-toe shape and an adjustable buckle for cozy fit. It also comes in a low block heel, so you can rock them for any occasion—like the dance floor.

Fashion Editor Abby Hepworth says there’s a ‘90s fashion revival happening, which explains why shoppers are flocking to secure a satin slip dress this summer. Well, I have you covered with this chic Clover maxi dress. It's a sleeveless number with a scoop neck and side zip closure. The orchid color makes it a vibrant choice for any evening shindig.

This bucket bag is the only accessory you’ll need this season. Crafted in raffia with leather trimming, the bag is perfect for carrying all your essentials. It’s also versatile, as you can carry it by the top handle or use the shoulder strap. Either way, the drawcord closure will keep everything secured. It comes in five styles, but I prefer the lilac/gray combo for a splash of color.
