3 Must-Watch Shows That Nobody Is Talking About Right Now

If you’re looking for a brand-new show to watch (that doesn’t include the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon), then you’ve come to the right place.

On the latest episode of Stream On, Phil Mutz and Rachel Gulmi highlighted three titles that no one is talking about…but should be. The podcast co-hosts explained why The Patient, Bad Sisters and Welcome to Wrexham should be added to everyone’s streaming queue (if they haven’t been already).

Keep scrolling for details.

1. The Patient

The Patient follows a therapist named Alan Strauss (Steve Carell), who’s held hostage by a patient slash serial killer. “I feel like Steve Carell always has those moments that make something feel like a dark comedy, at the very least,” Mutz said. “And this is not a dark comedy. There are no comedic moments.”

2. Bad Sisters

The dark comedy tells the story of an Irish woman whose four sisters team up to take down her abusive husband. “I only watched the first episode, but I love it,” Gulmi said. “It is like my new show.”

Gulmi continued, “It takes place over two different timelines—one timeline he’s dead. (Again, not a spoiler). And then the other is leading up to it.”

3. Welcome to Wrexham

The Ted Lasso-esque docuseries follows Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as they purchase a professional Welsh football (AKA soccer) club with little-to-no experience. “The real-life drama of this is super effective, and it’s really engaging,” Mutz explained. “And it’s not about soccer. It’s about this town of Wrexham and these real people and how much this football team means to them.”
