Whether you're sending your kid off to college or prepping your own home for the incoming school year, I suggest you get your shopping done sooner rather than later. Not just because I have insider info on what everyone is buying for back-to-school at Walmart, but also because some of the items are on major sale RN. For instance, the Beats Solo4 headphones ($199; $130), which are guaranteed to become their new go-tos, are discounted to as low as $130. And it gets better—you can also save big on the Travelhouse 3-piece hardshell luggage set ($400; $90), Bissell Little Green cleaner ($124; $88) and more faves.

Basically, if you start shopping ASAP, you'll have one less thing to worry about by the time classes start, and you'll save some money in the process. That's what I call a win-win! So, get your card ready, mama. Here are ten back-to-school items at Walmart that are a guaranteed A-plus. (Ahem, after putting in all this work, I wouldn't blame you if you picked up some goodies for yourself, too.)

Sending your kid to college with some Beats is a *must.* Just hear me out: They can use them to listen to an educational podcast on their way to class, music during their workouts and even wear them to take phone calls—from you, of course—in their dorm room without their roommates eavesdropping. I know what you may be thinking: "That's a lot of pressure to put on wireless headphones," but I can assure you they can handle it all. Plus, they have an impressive battery life (up to 50 hours, to be exact), and with UltraPlush on-ear cushions, they should feel comfortable for a night's worth of studying, too. So, if I were you, I would snag 'em now for as low as $130. Your favorite student will be thrilled.

Hoping they'll come home for every holiday and long weekend? Perhaps this three-piece hardshell luggage set will inspire them to get packing more often than not. The brand swears that the 20-, 24- and 28-inch suitcases are extremely lightweight and durable, so they should last from move-in day to graduation. Here's what one buyer had to say about them: "I was blown away by the quality of these bags for the great price we paid. The color was beautiful, and there was so much space...Beware, though, they're so spacious...you have to be careful not to go over the weight limit for the airport." So the only con about these pieces of luggage is that they're incredibly roomy—which isn't really a con at all. Meanwhile, the pros are endless, from zippered organizational pockets to a TSA combination lock and spinner wheels, so you really can't go wrong.

The Bissell Little Green cleaner is one of PureWow readers' favorite cleaning machines, having helped thousands of buyers tackle everything from dirty sofas to crumb-filled carpets (including several PureWow editors—just read the full review). That said, it'll come in handy for messy dorm rooms, first cars and everything in between. And despite its lightweight and compact design, it holds 48 ounces of cleaning fluid at a time, so they can soak and suction everything from crumbs around their dorm room to soda stains on the couch cushions. So, all there's left to do is decide whether you need one, too. (Psst: I'd say yes, especially at this price!)

Homework, papers, finals, oh my! If they're in desperate need of a new laptop that can keep up with all that schoolwork (and play), look no further than this HP. It's one of the sleekest computers they can own, and quite possibly the most long-lasting (no, seriously, it touts an 11-hour battery life), so they can slip it into their backpack and be set for the whole day. More importantly, with features like a 14-inch anti-glare HD display, they can look forward to sharp, clear text and vibrant colors—a must for all those visual learners. And did I mention that it includes a 1-year subscription to Microsoft 365, which is an essential for every student? Yep, this laptop is worth every penny and then some—so it's no surprise it's selling fast.

For times when your college student gets sick of the food on campus, this 17-piece cookware set will come to the rescue. You see, it's made of an eco-friendly nonstick granite material, making it effortless to cook on and even easier to clean up after. On top of that, it has everything they'll ever need to whip up semi-healthy meals after class, including three fry pans, two saucepans, one deep drying pan, three glass lids, two fridge storage containers, four pot protectors and two removable handles. Not to mention, the sleek set is on sale for as low as $75 RN, so they don't have to be too precious with 'em.

No need for a Roku stick here, since all of its capabilities are built right into this TV. It clocks in at 55 inches, which is perfect for a college apartment, and it boasts a 4K Ultra HD screen to display their favorite shows and movies in vivid picture. Plus, it has more than 250 free channels, which is the main reason this buyer is obsessed with it: "I never have to worry about [having] nothing to watch. There are channels for any subject. There are lots of news, music, game shows, reality, movies and many other genres, including an extensive Spanish selection to pick from." Sounds like this smart TV will meet all of their after-class entertainment needs (and it won't break the bank!).

Are they a total bookworm? Then your kiddo will be obsessed with this comfortable reading chair. It was designed by none other than Drew Barrymore, and I bet they'll find any excuse to curl up in it to feel at home. Better yet, its plush and modern look is sure to be a hit—even with picky teenagers. But here's why one buyer doesn't regret buying it: "I have been eyeing up the Pottery Barn round swivel chair for two years, but the price is ridiculous. This Walmart chair is amazing. I recently visited the Pottery Barn store and sat in their chair to compare. Honestly, this Walmart chair is more comfortable." P.S. It's racked up more than 7,000 reviews, so you know it's gotta be good.

A smartwatch can come in handy for your student in more ways than one. Specifically, this one from Samsung can track a ton of health data, like their heart rate, sleep patterns and oxygen levels. It also has a lightweight and customizable design, so they can truly make it their own. "The rotating bezel is my favorite part, even though I don't use it for the functionality, it just feels nice to rotate it," one reviewer explains. "The charge usually lasts me a full day which is good. I can make phone calls, answer text messages and even go to YouTube using the web. It'll even play a whole music video!" In other words, they'll have no excuse not to text you back.

If they suffer from allergies, you should definitely consider scooping up this air purifier for them. Here's why: Its 5-stage filtration provides 360-degree purification for indoor air, eliminating everything from dust and pollen to pet dander and airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, per the brand, so they breathe cleaner air in their dorm room. And it's super easy to use—all they have to do is find the perfect place for it at least 1.6 feet away from a wall in order to give it room to catch all the particles in the air. They can also choose between three fan speeds (low, medium and high), so their allergies should be A-OK.

This kitchen gadget has *so* much to offer, including seven programs that can help them make everything from gelato to milkshakes and sorbet with a touch of a button. On an episode of Take My Money, PureWow content creator Kate Kesselman tried the deluxe version of the machine to determine if it was worth the hype. But was it? Short answer: Yes! But I'll let her tell it: “I think this device would be really fun if you’re at a family retreat [or] a gathering and you guys make different ice cream flavors." Or, in this case, if you gift this ice cream maker to your college student and their roommates. Trust, it'll bring them together in delicious fun, and provide some sweet treats when they're in need of a pick-me-up after midterms.
