Meghan Markle is a huge style icon, so when I see her repeating styles, I know it's a must-wear. At the recent 2024 ESPY Awards, for example, Markle gave me déjà vu in a white halter gown that looked remarkably similar to her oh-so-memorable wedding reception dress worn in 2018.

The duchess clearly loves an elegant halter silhouette—and for good reason. It's a gorgeous option if you want to accentuate your face shape, your shoulders and arms, while still looking totally classy. I don't know about you, but I'm inspired to grab a few halter dresses myself right this minute. Whether you have a summer wedding coming up or any other fancy fete worth dressing up for, here are a few similar halter frocks to try out, à la Meghan Markle.

1. Sachin & Babi Kayla Gown

Sachin & Babi

Available in multiple colors and prints, this romantic halter gown has a maxi length and a long neck tie that can be styled in a bow or draped down your back. The waist sash breaks up the material by adding a dash of sheen and a shapely cinch, while the flowy skirt should provide plenty of movement, whether you're twirling on the dance floor or hitting the red carpet yourself.

A swingy shift dress is a fun take on the halter style, and the floral pattern of this pick is absolutely adorable, especially in the pastel shades. It ties around the back of the neck, with high seams along the bust, so if you have a larger chest, you don't have to worry about not being covered.

This luxe satin number boasts a wide halter neck strap that buttons along the back, but has a fully open back for a sexy look. The lower back seam is draped to offset the high neckline and maxi length, showing off a little extra skin. I'm drooling over the buttery-smooth look of the blue satin fabric, so I'll definitely be adding this to my cart for an upcoming August wedding. Thanks for the inspo, Meg!
