It was followed by a message from her husband

In the past week, a number of the "lesser known" royal players (AKA not Charles, Camilla, Kate, Will, Harry or Meghan) have made headlines.

Princess Margaret inherited a new role from King Charles. Princess Eugenie proudly showed off her back scar in honor of an important day. Fergie shared a gorgeous tribute to the late Princess Diana. Princess Beatrice rocked out at a concert. And Duchess Sophie stole the show in a stunning blue shirtdress.

But just because the reserve team of royals was stepping up doesn't mean the big guns aren't making headlines. Take for example, Kate Middleton and Prince William who each released personally signed messages today.

Princess Catherine wrote a message on the Kensington Palace Instagram Story saying, "An incredible Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud @andymurray. On behalf of all of us, thank you!" How do we know she wrote the message? It was signed with her initial, "C." The message was a reference to the end of Andy Murray's Wimbledon career after Emma Raducanu pulled out of their mixed doubles appearance.

This was followed up on the royal Instagram Story with a message from Will.

In his message, William wrote, "Nail biting to the very end. Well done @england! Semi-finals here we come! We believe." He also signed the message with his initial, "W." This is of course referring to England's victory over Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals.

Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla have also been in the headlines lately for their joint trip to Scotland and their state visit from the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Late last month, the Prince of Wales greeted Emperor Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako of Japan on behalf of King Charles.

The monarch and his wife then threw a gorgeous State Banquet dinner at Buckingham Palace, which gave us a stunning royal photo.

It seems that while I'm looking forward to some kind of summer vacation, the British royals are as busy as ever.
