I don’t know about you, but when summer rolls around, a glowy veil of makeup is all I want on my face. And good news—I’ve come up with a fabulous and simple combination that’s made getting this no-makeup-makeup, dewy look a breeze. Yep, the only things I use are: CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Tinted Sunscreen, Merit Flush Balm and ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint. You might be wondering “Liv, why do I need two different skin tints?” And the answer is: these two products blend so nicely they basically form a whole new product that offers a little bit extra coverage than just one or the other.

So, What Comes First?
First things first, make sure your skin is prepped post-skincare, then we can dive into the good stuff. Add a few drops of the ILIA Skin Tint and work it in with your fingers. Follow it up with the Cerave Sunscreen (fingers, again), and once it’s blended, I like to press it in with a damp beauty sponge to really lock it in. Add some dimension to those cheeks, nose and forehead with a kiss of the Merit blush and voila! You’re Hailey Bieber!
Who Needs Contour Anyways?
I’ve been totally obsessed with this trio as my base makeup because it leaves my skin looking incredibly luminous and healthy. Plus, with all that SPF I’m super protected from the sun. I’ve come to the conclusion that minimal is better for summertime and slapping these three products alone leaves me feeling put together and French-girl chic.
However, on days when my skin needs a little extra help, I’ll dot on some of my fave Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer to hide any blemishes or brighten my under eyes. If you are going to add some contour or highlighter, I recommend using cream-based products so they blend seamlessly with the base (think Milk Makeup Cream Bronzer and the Saie Dew Balm).
Don’t Forget to Set!
Yes, the glazed-donut glow is what we’re trying to achieve here, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look too dewy (ahem, greasy, if you will). To soak in any excess glaze—specifically around my nose and chin—I like to tap a bit of the Kosas Cloud Set Setting Powder into my skin. This is also great to add where you placed any concealer to help blur unwanted imperfections.
Final Thoughts
This combo makes for a wonderful day look, whether you’re running a million errands, sipping a cocktail by the pool or you just want to show off your beachy freckles. I also love that I can easily reapply (when I don’t have a ton of products on top of it) for some extra sun protection throughout the day. Most of all, knowing I look good while not feeling like I’m wearing a pound of makeup is godsend (especially when it’s sweltering).
