Expertise
As a women's lifestyle editor with a focus on sex and relationships, astrology, parenting and pets, I work closely with experts to report on tips and tricks that make life—and our relationships with our partners, children, friends and (yes, even) pets—a little easier. I have overseen the astrology vertical for five years, working hand-in-hand with astrologers for weekly and monthly horoscopes. In my nearly eight years at Gallery Media Group, I have also developed niche for crafting long-form and op-eds.
Experience
Prior to Purewow, I worked for both tiny startup publishers, as well as major digital media brands, including AOL and its Lifestyle Brands, such as the acclaimed Makers: Women Who Make America, a multi-platform video library and PBS film project, telling the stories of groundbreaking women. In 2016, I started at PureWow as a senior editor, jumping around between editing and writing to on-camera and podcast hosting. A creative with a special interest in motherhood and women's stories, I also write and direct. My project Tapes was selected to premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
Education
I graduated from the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science and the Arts with a bachelor's degree from the English Honors Program. Interested in the intersection of art and media, I completed a certificate program in Creative Advertising at Northwestern University shortly after graduating. I have also completed training in comedy writing and performance through Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre, where I was a house performer for many years.
