Sometimes (OK, always) you crave a warm, gooey brownie. But you usually (OK, always) don’t want to make an entire batch. Look no further than our recipe for a chocolate-chip microwave mug brownie for one. Grab a mug and let’s bake.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

2 tablespoons light brown sugar

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Pinch of fine sea salt

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons whole milk

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

3 tablespoons chocolate chips

1 or 2 mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped

Directions

1. In a large mug, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, brown sugar, granulated sugar and salt. Add the vegetable oil, milk and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.

2. Stir in the chocolate chips. Press the peanut butter cups into the center of the batter.

3. Microwave for about 2 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool for at least 5 minutes before eating.
