This is too funny

Ryan Reynolds, 47, may be notorious for pranking his cast members and trolling them online, but his significant other, Blake Lively, 36, also has a few practical jokes up her sleeve.

On an episode of Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast, You star Badgley, 37, recounted the time his ex-girlfriend and former Gossip Girl co-star Lively convinced him that Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler was his real dad.

While noting that Lively is “very serious about pranks,” Badgley jokingly said, “Anyone who’s in my life and wants to pull a prank on me, go ahead and try, because I will never think about it. I guess I’m trusting, I guess it says something good about me, I just never think that somebody’s trying to pull a prank. So she had that going for her.”

While working together on Gossip Girl, Lively managed to recruit Badgley’s publicist and team of representatives for the prank. “I get an email, just like, ‘There’s this press item that we’re trying to kill, but just so you know, somebody thinks or Steve Tyler thinks he’s your dad,’” Badgley explained to his two podcast co-hosts.

When the story showed no signs of going away, Badgley shared that his publicist and manager contacted him days later, saying that Tyler was heavily convinced that he was, in fact, the actor’s biological father. “At this point, of course, I don’t think it’s true but it’s like, ‘How can Steven Tyler believe this? There’s no way! You have to be kidding. Steve Tyler of Aerosmith thinks that I’m his [like] illegitimate child?!” he shared.

Fast forward to April Fools Day. Badgley went on to explain how Lively persuaded him to call his mom and ask about Tyler’s allegations. “My mom is not an actress, so not a prankster either, and she’s upset,” he revealed. “I’m like, ‘Mom why are you upset?!’ And then she takes a pause, that is like, the pause that sold me, and she goes, ‘Why do you think we moved out of Maryland?’”

Just when his thoughts began to spiral, Badgley said he remembered what day it was. “The rationale kicked in,” the actor explained on the pod. And when he looked over at his Gossip Girl co-star, Lively couldn’t “keep a straight face” and blurted out, “‘Ah, f****** April Fools.’”
