Gripping Thriller Captures #1 Spot on Netflix as Denzel Washington Serial Killer Flick Falls Off Top 10 List

As Denzel Washington’s The Little Things finally fell off of Netflix's top ten movies list, a new gripping thriller has claimed the number one spot this week.

Introducing the 2019 French action spy film Anna, which follows a Russian woman (Sasha Luss) who escapes a life of abuse to become one of the world’s most deadly assassins. While going undercover on a mission, the former model’s cover is blown and she must fight off a herd of killers that want her dead. (Sounds like a must-watch, if you ask me.) 

Aside from Luss, Anna also stars Helen Mirren, Luke Evans and Cillian Murphy, who most recently played the infamous Robert Oppenheimer in the award-winning film, Oppenheimer. The Irish actor’s powerful performance earned him the Best Actor award at the 96th annual Academy Awards. FYI, he was nominated alongside Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers), Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction), Bradley Cooper (Maestro) and Colman Domingo (Rustin).

During his acceptance speech, he said, “I’m a little overwhelmed. Thank you to The Academy, Chris Nolan, and [producer] Emma Thomas. It's been the wildest, most exhilarating, most creatively satisfying journey you've taken me on over the last 20 years. I owe you more than I can say. Thank you so much.
